inept management

This is lower rent property at the foot of Beacon Hill, which is why a lot of lower income residents and students live there. Also, it is two doors down from subsidized housing. There are frequently sketchy characters loitering outside and drunks--this may not be apparent on a quick visit by a prospective tenant.
The year I lived at this property there were several break ins and attempted break ins. Management was inefficient and the maintenance staff consists of Latino immigrant workers who are very low paid. Also apartments were not cleaned prior to move-in.
I did not feel safe at this property because there was a simple buzz in code that all the residents knew but did not change when residents moved out. There is also a history of break ins at this apartment--you can check public police records.
The true test of a good management company is how it deals with problems and resident issues--most of the residents who lived there at the time did not respect nor trust management because there was very poor response time and execution of requests.
