This is the company that rents apartments over Boston Beer Works in Kendall Square. The building is 61 Brookline Avenue. They honestly and truly suck. Let?s start with money. $1150 a month, with NO parking. To start out there, I needed 1st,last, security and a FULL MONTH's rent for a realtor?s fee. The realty company (Demeter Realty) is in the same office as the company that owns the building. Not the same building... the same ROOM. Gee, this isn't a clever way for them to pull more money out of you, huh' The apartment itself was dirty, worn, and had more vertical space than horizontal! The superintenent left sex toys (likely scavenged during his time picking thouogh resident?s trash [NO KIDDING!!]) in the seondary elevator, and his idea of cleaning something was a fresh coat of paint. Appliances cocnsistently broke. The bathroom was a shack in the closet. My car was broken into twice while parked outside the building; I was told they didn?t "feel like" putting up cameras over the parking spots they provided at an astronomical fee. To ice the cake, at the end of my term there, they started walking people through the apartment whenever they pleased, and threatened to withold my deposit for having painted over the hideous job done by the super. Thankfully, I had the money and time to rent a lawyer and get them off my back, but you might not be so lucky. DON?T EVER RENT HERE!!!
