Great location, horrendous neighbors and service

We've lived at our current location for almost 2 years now, and cannot wait to move. The apartment building is filled with obnoxious undergrads who leave empty cups and beer cans in the hallways/lobby/mail areas every. single. weekend. Also, expect the front glass door to be broken at least twice a month.

Initially we had a good experiencs with Boston Union Realty, and the management company they hired was superb. Then 3 months into our lease, they switched management companies. This one was so bad that when I asked why our water was turned off without any warning, the guy actually HUNG UP on me. I believe they switched management companies again. This time, the same guy acts as plumber, exterminator, you name it, he does it (quick fixes, nothing that will last for more than a few months).

They let the Northeastern students have their way. They will smoke and put out their cigs in the hallway. When we complained, the realty said, "what are you gonna do'" Um, what!' Then when we complained about our neighbors playing loud music at 3 AM every night, they said, "you just have to call the police on them." RIDICULOUS. They weren't mean, or anything; they just didn't care!

You can pay the same amount and not live in this crappy "dorm." Save your sanity! Too bad, because the location is great!
