I have lived here for nearly 17 years and the neighborhood has changed a lot. The composition of the tenants changes from year to year. There are times when my bldg resembles a Berklee or N.U. dorm or frathouse, there are other times when it is mostly young families. There are certainly times when it seems all of my neighbors have just been bussed in from the Ozarks. You can t dispute, however, that this is affordable housing in a prime Boston location in close proximity to Newbury Street, the Pru, Symphony Hall, T stop, etc. I have always felt safe in this neighborhood but it can be extremely noisy especially at the beginning and ending of the school year. The mgmt and maintenance staffs have always responded quickly to my questions/concerns, although it is true that repair work is not always of the highest quality.
