"affordable" but still over-priced

I lived here about a year. I pay almost $1000 bucks for a one bedroom, which is cheap for Boston but a lot for what you get. Management is slow to respond to certain maint. requests, and they use the cheapest materials possible when they remodel or replace. Also, since the rent is based on income, a lot of tenents don't work, are noisy and inconsiderate...making noise at all hours of night. Crime seems to be getting worse in the neighborhood, lots of dealers and users around.
