Where should I begin' I guess your first interaction with equity would be the leasing office which seems to have their employees on the 3 month internship plan since every time my roomates or I go over there they have replaced everyone. I can understand why, i'm sure they are all on commission and having a really hard time renting out these crappy apartmments. I agree with almost all the previous postings in that the construction has caused alot of people to move out as they began to hate these apartments more and more. They also had flooding problems up on the top couple floors recently, and at least one person I spoke to had their entire floor and apartment ruined only weeks after moving in. We moved in about 6 months before the construction and WE WERE NOT informed about it at all, so clearly that previous (and very long) posting was done by management over there trying to cover themselves because no resident ever goes on a message board to say good things about apartments, only when they have a gripe.
As for the bagels and coffee, that is true, ill give them that, but the fact is that they give you all this free coffee to make sure you can stay up all day since you were probably awoken at 630am by the construction. I'm certain residents would rather have NO construction at 6:30 AM than have free coffee. We were never offered a rent reduction and have found that people right down the hall from us are paying much less than what we are even 2 bedroom pricing is close to half of our rent. In the previous post the manager said that any construction has dirt, true, but most people dont pay half their salary to live in apartment buildings 40 feet from gigantic LOUD construction sites. Especially when they didnt CHOOSE to live there, but the construction was FORCED onto residentts.
As for teh parking, i dont have a car but one of my roomates was so fed up with the new situation of having to walk 10 minutes and pay 200 something bucks that he just stopped paying his bills. he screwed them out of a couple months parking because they tore down the garage unexpectingly kind of like they started construction 40 feet from our apt without warning us.
One of my roomates recently found a place in beacon hill, so if after listening to all this you would like to live with me, please email august1979@gmail.com

This was during june? Is ALL of the construction done now? My realtor is trying to get me to move into there, but after reading all these reviews im skeptical. I want to be on Beacon Hill to get to class in time, but I'm not going to waste TONS of money that I dont have to live something crappy & be miserable.
