I lived at Church Park for five years. The first few years were not too bad. The management company is always slow to act and unapologetically rude but otherwise leaves you alone. The maintenance staff are polite and efficient but at the mercy of management as far as correcting problems

However, they recently hired a new concierge team and renovated the lobbies. Things have changed since they improved their image and decided to refer to the building as "luxury" living. In truth, the apartments are larger but ordinary. The lobbies are nice but with the new concierge sub-contractor, the lobby attendants turn over frequently, not always attentive to the doors and not really "authorized" to help you.

The new lobbies are nice but certainly not worth the money they spent or the hardship that they put the tenants through (constant dust, noise, areas blocked off, etc.). You expect some troubles through a large scale renovation but management could be far nicer and more understanding...who wants to come home to plaster dust all over their clothes every night!!

My largest complaint has to be the heating/cooling units. They are old systems and leak frequently. The last leak in my apartment went untended for several days (I was traveling) and ruined the parquet floor. Management actually scolded me for setting the thermostat too low (causing the leak) and failing to report it timely. The floor was absolutely wrecked and management refused to do anything to improve its appearance. When I finally told them I was moving, they asked me to move all of my furniture into the bedroom so that they could sand and patch the parquet before I moved out.

Overall, the location is perfect but the building is old and not well maintained. The maintenance staff are nice and do what they can but are constrained by a rude and uncaring management staff. I would suggest looking at the other buildings in the area.
