I lived in one of the apartments on St. Boltoph Street in 2004 for 5 months. The room itself was extremely small, and the bed that they provided took up most of the space. There was a small kitchenette and bathroom. I would estimate that the entire room was approximately 200 square feet and cost me around $1000 per month. So it was definitely on the slightly more expensive end. However, given the location, it's not very uncommon to have that high of a rent/small space.
It's not bad for a college student and I was fine in an apartment that small since I wasn't there too often. It was in a fairly nice area and no problems there. I unfortunately lived directly underneath a muscian that liked to play guitar at 2am. Other problems included:
-frequent fire drills very early in the morning and unable to contact their office staff -not always hot water available -mouse liked to come into my room late at night -maintenance staff doing a lot of work on the apartments, sometimes early in the morning, and insisted on coming in/trying to kick me out during the day. Not very polite. -Was typically either very hot (still hot wearing only shorts) or very very cold. However, this was usually caused from people playing around with the area thermostat and pushing it to one of the extremes.
Other than that, no problems with office staff - they were always nice to me when I spoke with them. Obviously, not the best, but still pretty good for that area.
