This complex fell far below my expectations. The walls do not provide sufficient sound insulation from the neighbors and because of proximity to Mass Ave by the BU Medical you get a lot of ambulance sirens. Elevator is very slow and some units don't have a door buzzer. Some of the residents are strange...I hear my neighbors across from me non stop yelling. Last Tues after I got back from school, one of the residents confronted me, called me a ----- snd chinese ass, and tried to start a fight in the lobby. I have seen mice usually at night time. mgFDbN4-dhkSMZ7zRmVH

I am her roommate, and I agree. The biggest thing that bothers me is that management has done nothing, despite promises, about the difficulty in receiving packages. There is no buzzer unless you have a land-line, which most people don't, and there is no where to leave packages if you are not home. On-street parking is also rather hard to find. There are definately a lot of sketchy low-income people in the building.

"sketchy low-income people"? i was going to take your opinion seriously until i saw these words. sounds like your roommate isn't exactly a high earner either. students don't usually make much money, do they? if you don't wanna live with these "low-income people" why don't you move into more expensive place? oh, i guess you can't afford those.

Maybe I am low-income as well, but that doesn't change the fact that the people across the hall and the ones swearing and chasing others down the hall are all on government subsidies. I think if you had to live next to this, you would call them "sketchy low-income people" as well. I did not mean to indicate that all low-income people are sketchy.

I actually used to live in this building and it's funny because in the 365 days I was there, I NEVER once saw a mouse or other rodent, and most of the people I ever encountered were very nice. In fact, I am trying to move back into that building because slow elevator and all, we never once had to call maintenance for any problems, and this building is a hell of a lot nicer than pretty much any other apartment building I've been in in my 4.5 years in Boston.

Oh, and since it's a BIG CITY, you're going to get sirens from police cars, ambulances, fire trucks, anywhere you go. Beth Israel is right down the street from me now. I suggest investing in some good earplugs or a nice dose of selective ignorance.

And it's not just the "sketchy, low-income" people swearing in the hallways. What an ignorant thing to say.

Maybe the level three sex offenders in this building are the "sketchy" ones. You can see a list, including pictures and offenses, at the Boston PD web site, http://d4bpd.com/SORIMAIN.htm
