Definitely a great place! I wish I didn't have to move from there!

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
This was the first apartment in which I'd ever lived and sofar it's been the best one. The apartment unit itself was GORGEOUS: HUGE eat in kitchen, nice bathroom (both had obviously been updated and well-maintained), good sized living room and bedrooms, and tons of closet space (not to mention the view was spectacular!) It's convenient to both the Orange and Green lines (as well as the #1 bus), as well as grocery shopping, entertainment, and, of course, school (I was a senior in college at the time). We rarely had any noise problems (not to say we couldn't sometimes hear the people above us, but it wasn't so loud that it caused a major issue for us), and we never had rodents/cockroaches/etc. The laundry room was on our floor, and while there were only a handful of washers and dryers, the probability that you'd be able to use a funtioning washer AND functioning dryer, when you wanted to, was almost guaranteed. AND the women in the management office are very friendly (and it's right down the street so you don't have to mail your rent check).
Some quirks: the elevator is SLOW! (though I mostly took the stairs). The buzzer/intercom connects to a phone, which in our case was my cell phone. Sometimes bums slept in our lobby which was just more offensive to the nose than anything else.
But all in all, when weighing the not-so-nice things of the building to all that was good about it, I was so sad I couldn't afford to stay there anymore right after graduation and have actually been looking into getting back into that building. I'd definintely recommend it for anyone.
