It could have been worse...

This was the first and only apartment I lived in during my time in Boston.

The elevator is super-slow. Not a huge deal.

The management is awful. AWFUL. They are nice people, but completely clueless. They never return phone calls, they screwed up our rent payment so much that we were contacted by a lawyer who was told we were delinquent on our rent by ten months (NOT true at all; thank goodness we had the receipts!), they let us all stand outside in the freezing cold one night when the fire alarms malfunctioned because no one was available to bring a key over and turn them off.

Parking was ridiculous. $160 a month, and for a while, they had construction equipment parked in the spaces and made no attempt to compensate those who had purchased spots. I am so glad I didn't have my car there.

We had centipedes a couple times and a few mice during the winter. Not a huge deal. Set a few traps, problem solved. It's the city; there are going to be bugs and mice.

The apartment was decently-sized and the view was incredible. We were so close to everything we needed.

The laundry rooms left a little to be desired. The little plastic tokens were useless and the dryers did not do their job.

We lived next door to a schizophrenic woman who constantly threatened to kill us. Her brother kept a handle on her, but she freaked me out. There was also a mentally handicapped man on the sixth floor that went through my laundry once. That was great.

I liked the trash chutes, but our stupid neighbors couldn't seem to understand that the trash went DOWN THE CHUTE, not in the little room where it was located.

The hallways were always noisy.

Lack of AC kind of sucked, but nothing I couldn't handle. The heat was almost overpowering! We rarely needed it on in the winter.

Really, I'm making it sound worse than what it was. I don't know that I'd live there again, but for the price and the location, it'd be hard to beat.
