Devonshire Apartments

Very Convenient From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 5/22/2003 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003   I have lived at the Devonshire one year. In response to the previous comment about outdated appliances, I believe anyone moving in now gets a renovated apartment, it has VERY modern appliances now. Also, you get more space for the money than you would at most places in Back Bay/Beacon Hill that I looked at. I haven't lived there long enough to encounter any problems with the rental/management office and agree with previous comments regarding the excellent maintenance staff. I love it at the Devonshire. Everything is convenient, the gym right upstairs, access to the T, the waterfront, shopping, as well as the best theater and some of the best clubs in Boston. There is an excellent maid service and the view is excellent (although you have to be higher up to get a good harbor view). The only thing that is not convenient is the parking, but that is Boston. Also, the fit and finish of the apartment is not great (little things such as not enough phone jacks, lack of useful storage space in bathroom).
