The Devonshire is truly a nice building. However, it is plagued with price increases and unfulfilled promises. This past year, the management wanted to increase my rent by more than 10% to pay for renevations (which, after almost 1 year are still not finished...what am I paying for'). When talked to, they claimed it was an error, and upped the rent "only" $200. Also, it was promised that the "new gym" in the building would be free for all tenants. It costs $60 a month and the price has just increased. Another price increase: Parking. Was $350, now $370. Not to mention the "valet" parking (who scratched my car). They don't keep the keys in a locked box, rather your car sits there unlocked with the key inside. They also told me that calling ahead for my car by 12 minutes was "too long." Also, there are NO supermarkets even close by. The alleged "whole foods" market has been under construction for 2 years. By the time I move out, it will probablly still not be finished. Nice building, at a terrible cost.
