The location of the Devonshire is great. I went there with a Realtor to check it out last Spring. It was out of my price range but my Realtor thought that it would be worth seeing because it's right by my work and I had read some positive reviews. He also offered to refund me 1/2 month of rent by taking him there with me, which made the rent about $300 cheaper per month effectively.

I loved the gym and pool upstairs but found the atmosphere to be "stuffy." I chose to live at the Archstone instead and think it's much better for the money. Everything is brand new and the staff is more friendly. I also got half of a month's rent given to me as a rebate from my broker so it was $300 cheaper per month than they had listed, and it's also much less expensive than the Devonshire but in just as good of a location (almost).

Although I do not advocate the Devonshire, I strongly urge you to use Eleven Park Realty, you will save yourself some money on a luxury place. They'll give you up to half a month's rent back to you on these types of apartments so the rent becomes much cheaper...It's a little known secret that I stumbled upon two years ago and I'm very happy that I did! http://www.elevenparkrealty.com/rebates.html is their rebate website.
