Devonshire Apartments

Glad to be gone From: BostonAptRenter Date posted: 5/2/2008 Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2008 1 response   Devonshire was wonderful.... at First What killed it' The construction next door The "elevator modernization" project (which produced ONE new elevator after 6 months of work and still requires you leave 20 mins before you want to be in the lobby) The lack of Devonshire following their guidelines and allowing undergraduates to move in and have parties until 5am Outrageously expensive parking ($500) which lacks security and led to my neighbor's car getting vandalized Leasing staff who are unwilling to address issues int he building but feel a high rent increase is OK Constant false fire alarms Constant utility interruptions Dated interior of apartments with paper thin walls I just moved into a new development, also downtown, and am paying a fraction of my rent to be the first person in a new highrise and I have a terrace and beautiful view! And my parking' Resident-only and $175/mo!
