NOISY & EXPENSIVE TENEMENT
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 10/21/2006
Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
These apartments have several problems. The most bothersome is the noise level. It is above a restaurant that stays open until 4:00 AM, and people are in the parking lot until this time making noise. This restaurant also has whirring exhaust fans that go on and off continuously. In addition, the building is an unofficial dormitory for Emerson College, so tenants may play loud music at all hours.
The other major problem is the maintenance, which ranges from excellent to nonexistent. Both the elevator and the heat are unreliable: The elevator is frequently out-of-service and the heat in my apartment failed (8) times from 10/05 through 3/06. Management can be both fast and slow to solve other problems.
Other problems include high rents for tenement-quality apartments, and the lack of safety due to the suspicious activities in the parking lot at night.
In short, you should not rent here unless regular sleep and reliable services are unimportant to you. AD2Hw9Wn8Umb3NN1w1jt
