Not worth it...at all.

I currently live in Exeter Towers, and as soon as my lease ends, I'm getting the hell out. First off, this building has huge cockroaches and mice, which is COMPLETELY unexceptable for the price of the apartments. The maitenance man has about the same skill level as myself. I have had my dishwasher, disposal, toilet, and closet "fixed" by the maitenance man, and still have problems. In fact, my boyfriend was the one who fixed the toilet. One day I reported a maitenance problem, and at 8 AM a man was pounding on my bedroom door. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. The leasing office promised to update the kitchens in each apartment, and has not done this in the year I have lived here. Various apartments above my floor had issues with flooding and had to have their apartment completely redone. The noise level outside and within the building is ridiculous. On numerous occassions, I have been woken up at 8 AM to drilling and hammering that lasts between 2 and 3 hours. One morning at 5:30 AM, a group of men were throwing metal into a trash barrel until 8 AM. Newbury is a very noisy street, and often times musicians will play their instrument right out your window (it sounds nice, but believe me it's not). These are not the "luxury apartments" they promote themselves to be. Don't waste your money.
