Worst year of my life

The best thing about the building is the beautiful entrance. The location is pretty good too.
The worst thing about the place is the noise. It seems like most of the occupants in the building were very rich kids who attend some of the nearby schools. Some of these kids tended to drive up in their expensive cars and play music from the street so that the entire building could here it. They also would drunkenly yell up to apartments in various languages. Occurrences were 3-4 times a week between midnight and 3 am. I unfortunately lived on the side building where this noise emanated from.
Although our lease has a noise clause the building managers seem indifferent to professionals who need to go to work in the morning. They seem to cater to the students more. After I complained to the management they told me to call the police but declined to give any warning to the people causing the noise.
I did call the police 3-4 different times. They usually won't come because they get so many calls. It makes you wonder how safe this place is, if there was a real emergency. I could not wait until my lease was up and I could get out of this hell hole.
The 1 bedroom apt. was smallish, I think around 600 sf. Everything was showing it's age including the kitchen, carpets, bathroom, doors etc. The doormen were cold and unhelpful.
When I lived there the rent was around $1800 for a 1 bedroom and parking was $180. I've heard the rent is now around $2600 parking is $300. A bargain this is not.
I've moved around a lot the last couple of years and this apartment was very clearly the worst.
