I've lived and still live in the Greenhouse, been here since 2000. The location is the best thing, I work on Boylston st., so my office is 10 minutes away on foot. Parking is now $215/month for residents, which is unbeatable in the city. Plumbing, heating, a/c is reliable and maintenance has been responsive if there's a problem. The EuroTrash are a legitimate issue. There is a vast amoung of tenants who are rich kids whose parents pay for everything. They make a lot of noise on the weekends, I've found, though the first 2 years I lived here, I was on a very quiet floor. The concierge is useless in dealing with this type of noise, it has to be dealt with on your own, which I've done on a couple of occassions. The police as far as I know are unresponsive. Since my roommate and I are both ex-military personnel, we have no problem dealing with the Eurotrash when the noise level is too high, but it's definitely a problem for some of our other neighbors, we've intervened on behalf of a couple of them. It shouldn't have to be handled that way at all, but the complex I believe does cater to the rich kid, as they know they'll get all of their money on time, etc. Overall, I think the Euro problem is worsening, and if you think I'm being assumptuous labeling them as EuroTrash, there is no exaggeration at least a 60% populace of them in the building. They respect very little, as to them it is nothing more than a dorm. If you work near this area, this is a great building to live in, they also recently added a 11th fl. cardio fitness room and re-did the weightroom so you get those perks as well. If location is not the major concern here, live elsewhere, it's too expensive and there are too many disrespectful tenants.
