I still live in this place, but definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone, except to spoiled students who like noise, trash, and drugs.
Management tells potential tenants that noise is not a problem, that security and the concierge make sure the so-called "quiet policy" is respected.
But don't be fooled by that, the building is full of overly spoiled, irresponsible college students, who get drunk, leave their trash everywhere (hallway, elevator, etc.), smoke cigarettes or marijuana in the hallway, and worst of all, have parties and listen to their music at very loud levels all the time, even at night.
Management or the concierge will do nothing about it.
And the students, just forget about dealing with them. I've never seen people that spoiled, so rude, with such a lack of respect for other people. I guess since Daddy pays for everything they just don't understand that people who pay 2000$ rent/month can expect to live in good conditions.
When trying to confront them most students will get pissed off and leave their music at the same level, smoke drugs in the hallways or go on leaving trash in front of their door. Others will argue that the building is not fit for non-college people! So I should be the one to either tolerate their attitude or leave!
I still do my best stay very calm and be very understanding when I go talk to them, but it is very hard in front of aggressive but amorphous people. I guess the only possible reason for these students not to respect their neighbors and environment is just profound, utter dumbness.
From my experience, it's not only Europeans who cause trouble, but also Americans, Latin Americans: all the same.
Concierges are nice but totally inefficient and lazy, unwilling to call students or check on problems when asked for. And they mess up the mail (including packages from UPS, Fedex,etc.).
So just go somewhere else, you won't miss the high prices and problems this place has, and you'll find fitness rooms or summer swimming pools elsewhere.
