Older apt's, but well kept. Appliances could stand to be upgraded, but I lived here for a year and absolutely loved it. Mainly because of the great location (in the middle of medical central: beth isreal, harvard med school), easy walking distance to t, Simmons College...food court and CVS is on ground level of apartments, starbucks right across the street. If you like a lot of hustle and bustle, then this is the place for you. Laundry facility always clean and availability of machines not a problem. Elevators are decent...not too much of a wait. A lot of medical students, healthcare professionals in bldg. Felt VERY safe in the bldg., even though entrance right in food court area (controlled access via key). Outside of the bldg., would recommend same precautions you take anywhere at night. Nightime security is around too. You can buzz people in, but I could never get mine to work. Office staff always polite. Only negatives: there were about 4 times water and plumbing issues surfaced in my 12 mos there (i.e. had to go w/out water for a few hrs in early morning), but they usually give you enough notice. I was on a high floor & drafts through windows during winter made it pretty cold (had to seal windows w/tape and purchase portable heater). Never had a problem w/lost or stolen packages, but I didn't like the communal mail center for packages (office accepts packages, but places them in a separate mail room on shelves...room is videotaped for security and access is by resident mail keys only). Parking is difficult and expensive (I didn't have a car). Excellent maintenance!! very prompt & professional.
