I live on an upper floor. I have had nothing but problems. They come into my suite (unannounced) at least once every couple of months.
Problem is normally the same - water leaking into suites below me - so they come into mine, break open the shower, mess around inside, and close it up again.
The one time it took them about 2 weeks to close the holes again. I am adding a picture from one of the occasions when they made holes in the wall.
That is if I am lucky enough to actually have water. Water pressure is often terrible, the centrally heated water is often cold or lukewarm. And of course it has happened at least twice in the past few months that you wake up in the morning where a good portion of the building has no water - hot or cold - whatsover.
Parking in the area is ridiculous. Unless you pay the insane hourly rate, there is no way to drop off your groceries if you get a zip car or get dropped off by a friend.
Friends cannot come and visit as there is no place to park. With the new hotel next door things are even worse as there are a lot more people around, and they use a good chunk of the building's parking for valet.
The only redeeming thing about the building is the roof deck - and you can only use that till 11pm.
Gym is OK but is getting crowded and some machines are often broken.
I like the general area, as I can walk to work in the Financial District.
The place would be fine at a third the price maybe (I pay just under $3,000 per month for a 1 bed/1 bath). They have no clue what LUXURY means - other than it being written on their signs.
