Not what I was expecting...

I am both a real estate agent as well as a renter here, so I see both sides of the story. For most of you writing these reviews, you cannot begin to imagine what it is like to listen to the complaints, and yet still try to put on a happy face for a disgruntled tenant who has a minor problem. You know only what it's like to encounter a flaw with living in an apartment in Boston, and fail to take into consideration that you're living in an APARTMENT. In a CITY. Pests happen. You can't control your neighbors. You picked the neighborhood, furthermore, and therefore should have taken some of the surrounding area into consideration. You're near how many universities that house how many students' Alcoholism happens. The management company rents to students as well, so take that into consideration when looking again. You should also keep in mind that Forest Properties is a property management company, not a real estate company, and therefore does not physically go out and find tenants for these apartments themselves; that's where I come in (as well as many other local realtors). It's our job to find a tenant that is a good match for the apartment, not someone that will just get by or has foreseeable problems. I rented my neighbor's apartment to a hospital intern from a clean family from Philadelphia, for example; she is someone quiet, hard working, and looking for a safe place to call home. That's part of the realtor's job, NOT the property management company--a credit check can only reveal so much about a person's behavior or hygiene.
That being said, I have cockroaches in my closet. Not little ones either; big ------- that scare my Special Forces army boyfriend.
Also, how is the attractiveness of some of the women working in the office relevant'
In terms of the men that manage the actual grounds, I have found them to be kind, generous with their time, and expedient. When I saw the cockroach in my closet, Richard, one of the workers, was there in 10 minutes and took all of my clothes out of my closet individually to make sure that there were no gaps. Then he continued to check the rest of my apartment for possible places that a roach could come in. While I am extremely clean, most of the problems of cockroaches and other pests come from neighbors being dirty, not you. Richard also gave many recommendations for work orders that I could call, and now I have people coming in all of next week to make my apartment perfect.
