Terrific but very expensive ! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 10/23/2004 Years at this apartment: 1995 - 2004   Lived here for 9 years. Easily, over 50% of the tenants are over 50 and upscale which is good, no young punks here. Parking is $283 and underneath. Location is great! In winter evenings, when everyone else is stuck inside, you can hang out in Pru/Copley Pl. malls. You can get to malls and Shaws underground which is nice in bad weather. Noise above can be bad if neighbors have bare floors and are noisy, so you complain to office and they will quiet them down one way or another(can require carpets). Construction starts 12/04 for new Mandaren Oriental hotel which will block views from Fairfield & Boylston bldgs. Word is that a lot of tennants will flee once this construction begins. I have pissed away a fortune on rents and regret not buying something a long time ago. Paying about 30 grand a year here incl. parking. They have a website avaloncommunities.com
