The Fairfield at 790 Boylston Street is a very nice building. Location is superb! Service staff is responsive, but support is not.
Caveot: If you are like me, and cannot tolerate noise from above, DO NOT move here. The building was built sometime before or during the 1960's and you hear each and every noise that emenates from the apartment above. The properties procedure for handeling complaints of this nature is for you to call security. Meanwhile, the management company will not install wall to wall carpeting which, in my opinion, would reduce, if not eliminate the problem.
Renter beware.
Parking is available at $214.00 per month.
Laudry: When I moved in, there was adequate laundry machines at a reasonable cost. The following month, they installed new machines. Management stated that the cost would remain the same. Great' No! One month later they raised the cost over 15%. Also, there are not enough machines to handle the number of users.
Renovations: My apartment was renovated before I moved in. Average quality kitchen, nothing impressive.
Since I have not been here for a year, I have no response as to rent increases.
