In general I can't recommend living here. Even without the considerable construction noise, the noise of neighbors and toilets is constant. Additionally, you might as well live at a building without as concierge as they are pretty much worthless. The dishwashers are tiny, there is no ventilation in the kitchen, you can't control the heat/AC and NONE OF THE WINDOWS OPEN (that's just Avalon's policy). None of the leasing agents will tell you this. Also the laundry room is always packed, has odd hours when it is open, and no one cleans out their bleach so prepare to have many clothes ruined. I really do think that the good reviews on this site were probably written by Avalon management, as they are pretty slimy folks.
