The apartments are expensive but the floorplans/square footage is nice. Our apartment has a fireplace but we aren't allowed to use it. The building is a converted highschool and the atrium is very pretty. The location is convenient and parking is usually ample. However, the biggest problem here is maintenance, or actually, the lack of it. When we moved in, the apartment was as filthy as can be and the carpets were as stained and worn as you can imagine. The list of items not working or in need of repair was endless. However, after having this reported, NOTHING happened. Finally, after about 3 or 4 months, someone showed up to fix some things after a lot of pressure from our side. When something needs repair because of recurring issues, it's almost better to fix it yourself or pay someone to do it, just to save yourself the anger of being unable to make an appointment with maintenance. The building should be managed but it really isn't. The rental office is practically always dark eventhough it should be permanently open.
Living here could potentially be a nice thing but hiring more staff would be needed. I wouldn't recommend living here. You're paying a lot of money for a rental without having the conveniences which usually come with it (no pool, no maintenance, no club house, no rental office, no covered parking, no holding packages for you, no nothing, not sure why it's called "luxury apartments")There is a VERY old gym in the building but no one seems to have the key. It's not in use. So add to the row of nothings...the gym.
So, if you want to live in an apartment in need of repair, without any amenities and no manager nor maintenance and still pay top dollar, be my guest! I am leaving as soon as we have bought a house.

I have lived here for 5 years, you must have been doing something wrong, because the maintenance dept is awesome, never had a problem, the exercise key - if you had asked for it they would have given it to you, there is a rental office, and just have packages left in the foyer, again not a problem. I think you are too uptight, oh and they installed a new carpet before we moved in as they do for everyone who moves in. They actually give you a choice of what type of carpet you would like.
