I'd go elsewhere

I chose to live here after moving from out of state - I loved the spacious apartments, decorative touches, and high ceilings. I also looked at the Archstone Quarry Hills apartment and was torn - I do wish that I had gone there ...

PROS: Spacious apartments, plenty of storage space, diverse activities, responsive maintenance, grounds maintenance

CONS: Thins walls / floors, carpets not installed well - fraying at joins, small pool area always crowded, small gym area - don't expect to not have to join a gym, no notice of when you have packages

And one more thing - an earlier post mentioned the quality of residents - just last night I was awoken at 3am and kept awake for almost an hour as a fight went on in the parking lot - c'mon. I don't pay a premium to be awoken by loud, disrespectful neighbors.

This is so false. I have lived here for 1 year and I just signed a renewal. The gym & pool are great size for an apartment community. What do you expect? As far as the packages you know when you are getting a package. I wouldnt expect them to call me or notify me every single time I got a package, or they would be spending a long time out of their day to notify every single person that has a package. As far as the neighbors, hey it happened once. I have never heard anything that woke me up in the middle of the night. I guess people need to be reminded that they are not the only ones living here.

Actually, it happens a lot (this wasn't my review, but I can speak to it). It's sad when you call the Braintree Police to notify them of a disturbance and they either say "we know, we've had several calls" or "what building and entrance is the disturbance at". The fact that the operator knows the layout of the property speaks to the fact that the police are here too often. Also, they could tell people they have packages if some time has passed (a week!?). We have seen the police here for noise disturbance, a fight, and returning a loud tenant home after arresting her for drunk driving (she was yelling that she wasn't drunk and that they were harrasing her at 2 AM)... that's all in the last 3 months. Stop by the police department and just ask.

The apartments are well designed, though they did skimp on quality of counters, cabinets and carpets. the grounds are very well kept and impressive. Storage space is very impressive-not sure how I'll ever live with smaller closets now. Not that I used them much, but the pool and the gym never seemed overcrowded. The walls are thin(you can hear your neighbor clear throat). Fortunately, my neighbors were quiet. I hope they felt the same about me. Noises from the central parking area between the buildings do seem to carry and make a difference in the units. Overall, it is a nice place, but I think you can get more for your money elsewhere.
