I currently live in Pine Estates and can tell you this place is a dump. I actually took on a second job to save money for my deposit for a new home. I plan to be out of here by November. The groundsmen are the best. They do their best to keep up with the trash that people leave in front of their doors or in the courtyard trash instead of walking to the provided dumpsters. The trash that people leave brings rodents on the property. The office staff, especially the secretary at the front desk are extremely rude even if you're just dropping something off. I had complained about the noise in the apartment above me to the office secretary and later had the cape verdean occupants approach me about the complaint. I suspect the secretary knew them and informed them of my complaint. Confidentialty as well as safety is compromised. Parking is a big issue. Park in the wrong spot and your car will be keyed. Vandalism, loud music and drugs have taken over. If you want to raise your children and have some peace in you life..find someplace else to live.

thats whats wrong with this world why you gots to discriminate against cape verde, half the population is americans so what are u trying to say..the rodents were here way before cape verdeans moved to this country.......................

I agree with the first poster. The office staff are in cahoots with the thugs in that complex, I'm not saying it's 100% a cape verdean problem, but they are in the majority in The Pines. THe office staff are also predominantly CV so I can understand why ppl would think it's all their fault. It's a shame because from what I heard it used to be a really nice place now no one cares. It's pitiful

I somewhat agree with some of the previous responses but not all cape verdeans are bad the office staff are rude, disrespectfull, and inconsiderate they do not care about the residents you pay to live there. there only concern is their own friends and families that live in the complex they treat everyone else like they were trash. the office staff are liers and theifs if you have a concern or an issue about anything regarding your apartment,parking or safety they threat as if you are the one you is wrong. I strongly advise anyone you is trying or even thinking about living at pine estates not to. the office people will rob you blind make you living experience a living helllllll!!!

I agree somewhat also. There are alot of CV people living in here but they aren't the only one causing the problems. It is also the people who have kids and don't care what they do as long as they don't bother them. There are alot of kids living here with no respect. The office staff is well aware what is going on but they only thing they worry about is getting their rent on time. If you are late on your rent once they will send you to housing court. The maintance men are wonderful. They are very nice men that take care of residents. The place is kept nice and clean but it is all for show. I wouldn't live here. Trust me I am trying to move out and never look back again.

This is my problem...I got a raise, my rent went up, now i have to take a pay cut my rent won't go down...what is up with that. They don't even help you if you're having a tough time paying your rent. The staff are so damn rude. I called the lady, she told me it's because of the type of program that im in, so my rent will never go down, but it can go up...
