Great So Far!

I've only lived here a month, but I think my apartment has turned out really nice. For comparison, my sister visited recently and was blown away by how much nicer my studio was than her 1 br in the upper west side, nyc. For a studio it's very large, and I don't see the need to upgrade to a 1 bedroom. I figure it is at least 550 square feet if not a little more. My kitchen is brand spankin' new and the wood semi-parque floors have been recently re-done in the past year or so (the shine is still on them.) I have a large walk-in closet with a changing area as well as two other large closests and a large bathroom. The building, and my unit appear clean and quiet. I unfotunately live next door to an infant but I rarely, if ever hear it crying and regardless, the weakness noise spot in my apartment is the bathroom so I'm never woken from crying or talking. I have a fantastic view of the city thanks to a massive, retractable window. I have yet to experience the pool since it is January, but it's a nice perk. Moving in was a snap because of the back entrance and sevice elevator. The building is under new management from the last poster, I have not seen this bizarre owner others have written about. It also appears you may have a dog or cat as I've seen a few tennants taking their large dogs out for a walk, and also another tennant across the hall, sho-ing her cat inside. The doormen all seem friendly and helpful, though Gino is the most frequently on duty personel. He is always around to let your know you have a delivery or to help with maintenance requests. I don't have a car but the parking garage looks brand new and attended. My guests are allowed to park in the lot for a $10 fee which is better than not being able to park in brookline at all without a residental pass. The location is also great because you can take either the D or C line and there's also the Landmark Center, grocery stores, colleges, and parks in the immediate area.

One last thing that's nice is that heat and hot water are included because of the ventilation system installed. The temperature is always perfect in this place.

I hope this review helps. As far as rat rumors are concerned I have not seen or heard one! I will update this review later in the year if anything is worth mentioning.
