All CHR buildings suck

Lived in 46 Harvard Ave for 2 years, my friend at 169 Kent St. In my place, maintenance calls were often ignored for days (once the tiles in the bathroom fell away, and it took them ONE MONTH to get to it, despite complaints). The laundry is expensive and overpriced. The building is really old, so the pitter-patter of little feet upstairs drives you crazy. They would just walk into the apartment to show it to new tenants whenever they felt like it; realtors would tell me that "they (CHR) didn't have my phone number on file". What crap! Twice I called and asked them to call first, but I was ignored for weeks.
As for 169 Kent, they never told my friend that there was no front door, and that you could only enter from the back. She found out after moving in. Is it not fair to assume that you'll have access from the front of the building' Also, came to find that her apartment was under different management, not really CHR - the whole thing is shady, and still unclear. So when the toilet broke down, or the hot water disappeared (which was often), she would call both places, and both would hedge, and the job would get done by someone after several days.
The rents are not worth it. Now they've fixed up 46 Harvard so they can bump up the rent some more. CHR staff are totally nice, but it's all a cover-up. Do not rent with these people.

Chestnut Hill Realty has a 24 hour maintenance response policy to avoid any delay in processing of work orders. There are times when projects take longer to repair. Most people during the apartment viewing will notice the front and rear doors as well as the layout of the unit. It is true that we have upgraded our Harvard Ave property and transformed it from distressed property to a stunning community. Sorry about your friend poor experience.
