This apartment was a nightmare!!
Heating was very very poor, most people had an extra heater and wore a coat at home. The radiators were very old and noisy. It sounded like someone hammer/drill the whole house and I woke up several times due to the noise whenever the radiator turned on. It's very dirty. There were RATS and ROACHES. There were 4 washers and 4 driers but something always remained broken. Most of all, it never got my clothes clean. Noisy neighbors made me crazy. Some even kept a dog inside. Overall appearance of the building may charm but you need to realize that this apartment is really old and poorly managed. They'll never fix anything but yell at you. However, you can't get out because you have to pay fee (a half of you rent), even though you find someone to put instead of you. If you can't find anyone, you need to pay the whole rent.

We did have a heating problem in 2002 which was resolved when we replaced the heating plant for the building. We have a monthly contract with a licensed pest control contractor. We do have a no pet policy, however by Federal Law we must allow service dogs.
