Stay very far away from CHR

I lived in a building on Chiswick Rd that CHR managed, thankfully it was only under their management for 5 months until our condo association finally had enough and switched management companies.
In those 5 months, it was horrible. They are never there. My roommate and I kept a running log on how many times we called them and we never got a call back after over 15 times. My roommate had water leaking in through a window because of a misplaced drain gutter and it took them over a week to come out and fix it. We called regarding lack of hot water, heat, no light in the back parking lot, and rotting board hanging precariously over the back door...and nothing.
After our new management took over, we found out that CHR had let the extermination service contract run out so even though we were ensure in writing that extermination was every month, it hadn't been done in over 6 months, and as a result we had some pet mice for a few weeks.
A leak in the apartment below went unfixed for over a year, causing serious damange that forced the plumber to take out a part of the wall in my closet to get to it and part of our bathroom ceiling fell in (all problems that we were told could have been avoided if things had been done properly before)
One of my friends also used CHR to rent an apartment. After giving her deposit, she found it the realtor had rented to another tenant as well, and then refused to give the money back to her.
Overall, working with CHR is a huge risk. I, and many of my friends, absolutely refuse to ever work with a CHR realtor or to ever live in an apartment managed by CHR.

Chestnut Hill Realty does not own any property on Chiswick Road. Our job in the condominium management division is to advise a board of trustees, they make the decesions, not us.

My condo was also managed by Chestnut Hill Realty for years before I got here. And our experiences have been the same. While it's the board that decides things, it's the management company's job to execute. At the very least, they could return phone calls.
