Great location, great apartment

Pros:
-Location, location, location. Pelham Hall is located in the heart of Coolidge Corner. The C line stop is about 50 paces from the front door, and fantastic restaurants and shops are located one-two blocks away. For those trying to enjoy the great outdoors (well, the 2 months of good weather in Boston in late summer/early fall) the newly reopened Amory Park two blocks down Beacon boasts softball and baseball fields and plenty of room to spread out for the day. Basketball and tennis courts are also located nearby, and Kenmore Square is about a 15 minute walk.
-The building is in great shape. It's old (built in the mid '20s) but it is well maintained by Nordblom. Problems are usually addressed within 24 hours, and the company is located next door if you ever need to drop in with a request.
-Big units. I had a two bedroom that was *huge*. Completely worth the extra rent.
-Parking. I had a good experience with parking. Yes, it's overpriced ($135/month) but so is every other spot in the area. During snowstorms, Nordblom was pretty good about getting in clear in the hours after the snow fall.

Mediocre
-The "exercise room." Honestly, I've seen hotel gyms in better shape, but its good in a pinch, especially if its snowing or raining outside. There's an overpriced gym across the street, but you can find other facilities two blocks down Harvard St towards Rte 9 for half the price.
-Street noise. Keep in mind that Coolidge Corner is a high traffic area, and you will deal with loud honking and trolleys during your workday evenings and on Saturdays. This will be an issue with any Beacon St apt, so if you love your peace and quiet, you should look down a side street for your unit.
-Apartment noise. As others mentioned, there are weak spots in the walls between the units. I could easily hear my neighbor in her bedroom at all times, which eventually became hilariously loud when she had her gentleman callers over for the evening. Well, it would have been hilarious if she didn't prefer early morning (6 am on a Saturday) activities. Too many dawn wake-ups up to an obviously well rehearsed performance.

Cons
-None

All in all, I enjoyed the unit. I think its a rare, well maintained old building with an absolutely suburb location.
