OK, but expensive

Overall I liked the place a lot. However here are some observations:
* Way to expensive. In a market economy you get what you pay for, but had the rent been $300 less, I'd be more than happy to stay there more than a year. Then again, people seem to be happy paying the money, the place really did not have any empty units for 2 months when I was waiting on one to empty.
* Somebody noted this earlier: The buildings deep inside the complex are the danger zone, for whatever reason. Stay close to the buildings closer to the rental office.
* Trash compactor. Always dirty and full. Idiotic idea.
* Somebody noted this earlier as well: Short notice on pending work - risk you car being towed. I have no understanding for this. If you happen to be out of town for a few days, you can come back and find an old notice and no car.
* On the positive: They always fix things really quickly.
* The fence in front of my appartment used to be detachable for easy move-in. Shortly before I moved-out the fixed attached them. Do not underestimate the problematic of this: Take a look how some entrances/fences are placed and you will understand.
* There is a small playground above the pool. Brought my 2-year old to the playground, and first thing I notice is a used you-know-what. NOT GOOD. Not good.
* BIG plus: Had my own washer/dryer.
* Walls seem to insulate everything; never heard any neighbor.
