Partially grew up here, in fact. Management was not always great but it's a fun place for kids, very safe, if you can handle some natural tolerance of lots of people from lots of backgrounds, from doctors and lawyers (who don't give out candy on Halloween--you have to put on your own Halloween block parties to this end) to people of lesser economic means. Grounds are kept very well and the apartments themselves are spacious. Hookups for washer/dryer is convenient. Intercom/buzzer system also increases security, no one gets in unless you know them or they have a key.
