NOT TRUSTWORTHY!

GET EVERYTHING FROM THEM IN WRITING, and even make copies of everything you give them. My apartment was flooded and prior management gave me a week off of rent, but it somehow never made the books and now I'm on the hook for the exactly 7/29th of my rent that accounts for that week. Ridiculous.
Additionally, they rented out my apartment shortly after I had left and I had already paid the whole month, and they wouldn't have refunded any of my money had I not been in town to "check in" on my old apartment. (The law is that they can't double-charge, so if you pay a whole month and leave in the beginning, you're refunded any time that someone else lives there).
Living there was decent enough, but way too expensive. My experience with Heritage is definitely tainted by their dishonest (or just woefully incompetant) management.

As of 7/25/06 Equity Residential purchased this property. There was nothing in the resident's file to show they had received rental credit. The resident received all monies owed to them. They would have received this money regardless if they came into the office or not. Equity Residential does everything by the book.
