Basically it is what you make of it.

First, I've been here 6 months and have no major complaints. Yes, there are kids...but they're kids, not small adults. Remember, you used to be one. Pets...as long as they don't bark (which doesn't seem to be a problem), I have no complaints. Maintenance...whenever I've called needing assistance, they've showed up when it was convenient for me. Office staff has been friendly and responsive. It's not their job to babysit me, just the complex. Heck, if your dog went where it shouldn't and you were told in advance of the consequences, heck, I'd fine you myself. Noise...well the ceilings (not the side walls) seem a little thin, but I haven't had any issues to speak of. (I have a 2-bdroom on the 2nd floor) If kids lived upsatirs maybe I'd feel different. Overall, Heritage is a very clean, convenient, safe place to live where most tennants are very friendly. The apartment is roomy and has some nice amenities. Compared to what I've seen elsewhere, this is right at the top for the price. If you don't like the "issues" that go with apartment living, then move out..way, way out to the burbs. Otherwise, I would (and have) recommended Heritage to others.
