seeing all these complaints.. Well I came to Lord Baron when the rents were really high. I stay alone and the only other place I checked up was Beacon village and Jamieson properties Woburn. And I chose the studio. Priced at 860 with 610 sq ft it looked pretty reasonable to me. The problem was i checked out Beacon village and they were asking me 1250 for a studio, that is beyond my affordability. and for a studio I don't think I can enjoy paying so much and living in it. This was in early 2002 when I did a move in. It's my third year and I'm renewing it. I find the other properties cost effective and worse. And maybe I'm tolerant. There was a severe infestation of cockroaches in my apt for a good 3 months. They came to clean it thrice, but still the bugs are there. Having no other go, I threw half my cooking utensils out. I manage with a pan and a smaller pan, but then I'm not much of a cook and the kitchen needs to be cleaned everyday and left dry so cockraches can't savour the dampness and moisture. A spray gets quite handy after a while.
Now the good, I got huge windows that open to trees, the backside parking lot, ample parking space, snow cleaning is good, and I sleep with the bed next to window and summer time that lends me fresh breeze, and lots of space, not stuffy, it's a pretty decent place to live in. And they slashed my rent by a 90 bucks after a year to 795 and That motivated me to renew my lease for another year , which i completed.... and I'm not sure what to do now. the roaches are at it again. And I've renewed it again... The roaches are back again. I'm not sure what to do now.
And i feel too lazy to summon a moving service to move out, and if I move out , then where, I'd rather wait for 2 years and buy a condo, I think it's not too bad for now.
