Not so long ago I wrote a glowing review of this place, but I've noticed some things that I think potential renters should be aware of. First and foremost, there is a HUGE problem with a lack of hot water which is unbelievably annoying, especially considering the price of rent. We can go four or five days with tepid water. Or it will be hot for the first 60 seconds of your shower then turn cold. Absolutely the worst way to start the day. I beg and plead and suddenly the water is hot for a week or two and then the cycle starts again.
The second issue is that a lot of kids/young guys are hanging out at night, throwing beer cans in the 'nature preserve'(which never seem to get picked up) and nothing is ever done about it. I talked to a woman who felt very unsafe and the management just shrugged and told her to call the cops if she didn't like it. I have also heard of a few break-in attempts on the first floor apartments. On the whole, I don't feel that the place is unsafe, but the management's disinterest is disturbing, especially when they had been very helpful and accommodating in other areas.
