I have now lived here a year and despite the many problems the location , the views and the easiness of the place compell me to stay. Also, if there is a better place in the Boston metro area to watch the 4th of July fireworks I havent seen it!! The really bad things are the horrible windows which are completely energy inefficient. They dont close and they let hot air in during the summer and cold air into during the winter. The management really needs to replace them but I guess the cost would be outrageous. Also, there is no central air and you must have a window unit which in most cases isnt provided or well maintained. Finally, the kitchens which the management refers to as retro are really just old and need updating and the plumbing while functional is a bit noisy! In terms of value for money there are a lot of newer better apartments in the area with all the mod cons that simply don't exisit here. So why did i renew the lease' I find the management responsive, the location outstanding, the place well maintained considering its age, the grounds really nice and every night and every morning I look out on a million dollar view and can't think why I would move.
