Great apartment building, very clean and well done. My unit has nice high ceilings and a high level of fit and finish, not often found in Boston / Cambridge. However, I'm guessing none of the previous reviewers had their unit face Binney St. I would liken the noise level to living on the main landing strip at Logan. For some reason, this street is a really popular route for tanker trucks. It sounds as though one of them comes by with it's engine redlining approx. once every 5 minutes. However, I've learned to "adjust" to this by sleeping with earplugs. Definitely not a place for light sleepers!

Street parking is actually pretty good on 5th street...no permit needed...only really an issue during blizzards. The one space that comes with the place is about a 5 minute walk from our unit...so I'm better off than my roommate who uses the space.

Management seems ok, but you never really deal with them. Just be aware of the usual BS...like them telling you subtle details on the lease, after you sign it. Also, the line about them "getting new equipment in the gym" is a total joke. That's cliche, I laughed heartily. Surprisingly, no new equip yet!

Overall, definitely recommend, as long as your not on a lower floor on Binney...if you are, ask for about a $400 rebate on your rent.
