NOT RECOMMENDED if you expect to be "well connected"

If you move into this complex, you're left with only one choice for cable and internet connection (a POS company named Solantic). The cable signal quality is worse than terrestrial (i.e., over-the-air antenna) quality - especially, if you have a 48" widescreen tv. The system is setup to split ONE DirecTV signal into 311 apartments...can we say signal degradation' As for high-speed web connection, it's SLOWER than dial up during peak hours and sometimes during non-peak hours. Need to telecommute and your job requires sending/receiving large files' Forget about it - it's not possible with the POS internet connection.
Here's the best part, you will have NO OPTIONS for cable or high speed internet. Comcast - nope. Verizon DSL - nope. Nothing...you'll be locked into ONE option - Solantic. The company markets this building as "well connected" - it's anything but that. You can't even "connect" to the internet at a decent speed!
When will Comcast be available' If we're lucky, it'll be available by end of summer 2005. Verizon DSL - not even on the radar to be implemented. RCN - nope.
Anyways, I think you get my point and frustration. I've lived here for 2 years and the mgt company has been telling me for 1.5 years that they will be fixing the internet connection...'nuff said. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!
