I read through several of the negative reviews and noticed they are almost all from 2003 and/or involve complaints about the cable service.

I've lived here for the past 4 months and have enjoyed my stay so far. Cable/internet service is now provided by Comcast and I don't have any problems.

My wife and I decided to live here fully realizing there are always tradeoffs. We wanted a decent sized apartment with W/D, garbage disposal, dishwasher, etc. and close to the T and realized we'd either have to give up the "charm" and character of more central locations or pay a LOT more in rent.

The location isn't the most picturesque but we live in a large, newer apartment with modern amenities, a fitness center on-site true 24-hr concierge service and are half a block from the Alewife station. We got exactly what we wanted.

The insulation in our unit is AMAZING. We rarely turn on the heat, even when it's in the teens. Doesn't really matter since heat is included but I don't like to run the heater much because it dries up the air.

Having said all that, it is true the building is huge and doesn't feel very personal. It's not for everyone but it certainly fit our needs.
