Like any place, you're going to have good points and not-so-good points. For my husband and I, (students and parents), the pros outweigh the cons, and we are satisfied with our apartment experience at CambridgePark Place.

*The management, while seeming a bit high and mighty, are really quite friendly and accommodating. Just get to know them, be friendly yourself, etc.

*The maintenance crew is FABULOUS. Quick, efficient, friendly. They take pride in their work, and that means something.

*Heating and cooling are quite efficient. We never have to turn on our heat in the winter, and use the A/C minimally in the summer because the company keeps the hallways and rest of the building so cool. We actually have to keep the window cracked open to moderate the temp year-round!

*While parking may seem limited in number of available spaces and size of spaces, I have yet to see all of the parking spaces taken. Additionally, even if a space is a snug fit for your car, it's not impossible to use. Just think about what parking issues you would have if you had to park on the street in town, etc.

*The fitness room sounds small if you look at number of machines only, (e.g., 2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, etc.), but it's perfectly adequate for the amount of use it gets. If there were major problems with broken machines, long waits to use them, then the management would accommodate accordingly; however, since those problems are pretty non-existent (even when, say, a treadmill is broken - which is rare, but happens ANYwhere - there is still at least one of the two machines functioning to meet demand), the fitness facilities are just fine.

*Dog concerns are less and less since the management no longer allows dogs in the building. (If the dog was here before they instituted this policy, it stays. Just no new dogs. Miraculously, all of the previous dog complaints - odors, running amok, etc. - have been taken care of.)

*Elevators can be a bit slow, but just be patient! So what if someone reserved an elevator to move in - you'll appreciate it when you have to move!

*Your rent WILL go up after your first year, so although the first year's deal is pretty nice, it doesn't last.

*The walls are thin, so it's easy to hear the person coughing up a lung upstairs, or the music preferences of the kid next door.
