half a year and half more to go

The Alewife T station is what brought us finance geeks here as we commute to the financial district everyday. The red line is comparatively newer and safer than other lines and it takes roughly half an hour to go to work, so we chose this aptmt mostly because of the T.
Parking indoor is well lit and though there's birds nest every where (and their poops all over my car everyday) its safe and convenient. As others mentioned the peak hours can be painful to get in and out of the building.
Having a mega Whole food store nearby is nice though the cinema next to it is crowded and small. Some other shops like block buster, starbucks and the 24hrs CVS makes life, i would say more civilized living in freshpond.
The fire alarm still goes on pretty often and it can really ruin your sleepins on weekends. The staff are very helpful and they pay attention to details. The building had recently been acquired by Archstone and I see a lot of improvements to the policies and management.
Cooking is one thing that really bothers me as ventilation isnt that great and the smell tends to escape to the hallway.
I've rarely shared the elevator with anyone, infact the only time i see neighbours is when we're all gathered downstairs becuase of the fire alarm.
I moved from Wellesley, a very nice neighbourhood where people greet and say hi to each other and its completely safe to leave the house/car unlocked. Freshpond comes with a different story as the community is much more bigger and diverse.
The room sizes are great, the facilities are new, public areas are clean and the gym equipments are well maintained (they just ordered new stuff in too)
