My husband and I have lived here since 2003. We were the first ones in our apartment and we loved it. We lived through the first management (very bad), followed by the wonderful management of ------ -------, which was displaced July 2007 by the acquisition of Cambridgepark Place by Archstone (------, ----, and ----: you all ROCKED!!). Now, we can't wait to get out. We, too, are having to put up with secondhand tobacco smoke in the hallway. We live on a dead-end hall and they "wisely" put a chain smoker next to us (Note the sarcasm: on a dead-end hallway where there is no place for the smoke to go!!). The smoke accumulates in the hall and gets into our apartment and I'm allergic. It is a major problem. The new management asked me to let them know if their efforts were having an effect, and I've been keeping them apprised of when I smell the smoke (as they asked me to do). I just received a letter stating that they'll give us 30 days to get out of our lease, as they can do nothing to repair the problem. ------ had this place running smoothly and it was a classy place. Since the property was acquired by Archstone and put under new management, the place has become all but classy with dirty walls and carpet and an atmosphere that says "we're here to lease to new customers, you're already here".

Finally, visit this apartment building between 5:30 and 7:00 pm on a weekday before you choose to live here. The rush hour traffic blocks the intersection, making it extremely hard to get in and out. If you have road rage or high blood pressure: this is not the situation for you! bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC

You seem to have an issue with the management however I feel for a review to be effective all areas must be discussed? Any pest problems, how was the noise, utilities, heating, overall cleanliness, safety. I would like to hear more about these elements in order to make an informed decision about living here.
