I just moved out of Church Corner (to take a job in another state) after living there for two years. Overall I enjoyed living there, although there were a few drawbacks:

The bad:
* Quite a bit of noise from the street, especially when your windows are open.
* The building was having a horrible time with elevator maintenance for about a year -- one of the two elevators was out of service for months. Those problems seem to be solved now.

The good:
* Outstanding location, close to the subway, with picturesque churches on two sides.
* My apartment was spacious, clean, and well-maintained.
* Appliances worked fine.
* Nice laundry room operated by a very reponsive outside company.
* Office staff were always friendly and helpful -- I felt like they cared about making the building a nice place to live.
* Good sense of community among the diverse tenants.
