The location is fine, and the manager is very helpful, but those are really the only good qualities. Even the location has its negatives, like nightly noise; that used to be my only complaint, but the huge company that runs the building has let everything go to seed, even while raising rents every year. If you're thinking about moving in, add at least 5-10% to your starting rent, because you'll be paying that much more every year in nonnegotiable increases. Facing hard times, the publicly traded company which owns the building keeps itself afloat by squeezing the residents and writing off large refurb projects (large-scale paint jobs, etc) while neglecting everyday concerns (mice running around). As I always say, if you want to know why work on repairing the elevator has stopped for three months, check the stock market. That's also the correct answer to questions like: why does it take a week to a dispatch the repair guy' why is the malfunctioning garage door so often left open so that street people can wander in' why are the laundry machines perpetually broken' I would avoid this place unless you really need to live at this location.
