noisy, but nice.

Years at this apartment: 1999 - 2001
I've lived there for a little over 2 years
and I have to agree with most of the
comments I've heard.
It's VERY convenient, being close to the T,
to Star Market, Mass Ave, etc. But it sucks
having a car there, or even asking friends
to come and visit because there isn't really
anywhere to park.
The management is nice and responsive to
smaller requests (like fixing a light bulb
or sink). I haven't had any major requests,
and they didn't do anything while I was
there to improve the apartments (like
getting new carpeting).
The down side: the noise. Besides hearing
kids running around in the halls, knowing
the showering habits of your neighbors, and
knowing all the lyrics to your neighbor's
favorite songs - you also get noise from
the street. esp if you face towards the
middle east & the man ray.
And the rent increased *at least* 12% per
lease for me. One year, it was as bad as
25%. I left because it got to the point
where I could find a nice space living on
my own than paying for a single room in a
shared apartment there.
